Seasonal colds are by all accounts no fun, but new research suggests the colds you've had in the past may provide some protection from COVID-19. The study, authored by infectious disease experts at the University of Rochester Medical Center, also suggests that immunity to COVID-19 is likely to last a long time – maybe even a lifetime.

Interesting, but I live a very solitary life. I haven't had a flu shot in well over 20 years and have not had the flu in that time. I rarely have had a cold...allergies, yes but a cold don't think so. So I should go out and get a cold from someone that may well actually have Covid19 to protect me from Covid? Yikes crazy science...

And I have been having a cold for the past 4-5 days now. But this is a newly mutated virus and not much is known about it at the present time. So, you never know.
