Forum Access

Members have been getting access errors the past couple of days. Some changes have been made to the forum in the recent past and all of these are front-end changes that can not cause these errors.

The only change that could be a culprit was made on Jan 17th when we did away with the old website and brought the forum out from the "forum" folder. The site address changed from www.diabetic.pub/forum to www.diabetic.pub

I had written a permanent redirect rule to automatically lead anyone using the first link to the second. However, when I checked last night I found the redirect missing. I've corrected that again, and you can see for yourself by clicking the first link.

However, please check your links/bookmarks and remove the "/forum" bit if it is there. Additionally if you ever have difficulty finding the forum, you can TYPE www.diabetic.pub in the address bar and press Enter, to check if the site is really out or you have an error in your link.

i also got some connection problems today. I contacted the hosting service and they said there are no server issues like maintenance etc. It's just one of those things I say. But, I'll be keeping a close watch.

Same here, SKB. Seems to be back - I tried a few different browsers, but now it's okay again in Safari.

Hello All.

Site was down for a few hours today. Inconvenience is regretted. I'm trying to do the upgrade and identity change. Just got the forum working again. The BG Tracker is not working for now, as may be other things, but I'll deal with them tomorrow.

Logout button is now under your Profile. Click the little arrow next to your name in the topmost bar. The Logout link is located there.

Yeah, I couldn't connect earlier this morning but I figured it would work out.  Seems fine now.

Now I see why bg tracker is not working. Otherwise everything else seems fine.

We're back again and that's a big relief. We've out for almost 50 hours and I have no idea what really went wrong The support staff of the hosting team would just tell me that we're working on it. Today morning I emailed them that I would like to move to another company, but I doubt this makes any difference to them.

I am still taking a lot of time to connect to the various threads because I guess that the rectifications are still on. But thankfully the Forum is alive again.

Glad to see it back up.  It is working but not quite like it should, maybe some things still need to be ironed out.

There were connection issues again today morning for a brief period. I could contact the hosting service and get it resolved ASAP. Hope none of you encountered this problem.

Yes for some time briefly today morning also, but that was me updating some files on the forum.
