Good to be on board.  Diagnosed in 2003.  It took awhile to cycle through the standard Diabetes Educator routines and find my way to LCHF.  But here I am.  Looking forward to participating.

Your account sounds a lot like the rest of us have experienced . . . having to stumble around in the dark by trial and error until we finally bump our shins on LCHF. I can credit my doc with telling me to lower carbs, but he didn't include the high fat part, and he didn't set the carbs level nearly low enough. He has since seen the light after I insisted on LCHF and eating to my meter! 

Once we get there, it sure works, and it fixes a lot of things besides just high blood sugar!

So since we call this a pub, here's to getting acquainted & forging a long happy friendship.    Thank you for joining us.

Hi Allathea and welcome   I'm glad you found us!  Sometimes it's hard for me not being able to fully discuss my way of eating with my own doctor, so I am very appreciative of this online forum, where I can openly discuss this approach to controlling diabetes.  Hope to see you post more on the boards.
