Rocky, it is a personal decision, if you are satisfied with numbers in the 100's maybe think about cutting down on the met.  I didn't even think about it until my A1c was in the 4% range for a couple of years.  I knew for sure by then that I had my dietary choices in line with normal blood sugar levels. I had dropped down to 500 mg/day for the last 6 months.  I dropped it totally last year in March 3 years after dx. No rush to stop the met, let it help you get control then decrease slowly.

nope, im not in any rush. jst asked as i was getting much better numbers. for the time being i am continuing.
