Does anyone here use a step tracker, and if so, what is the brand name?  I've looked at fitbit and found them to be very nice but on the expensive side.

I use a Fitbit and like it but as you say they are a bit pricy.  BigSkyGal has had good luck with an app on her phone and I tried one on my IPhone and found it quite accurate but then you have to carry your phone with you all the time.  Some people do that anyway but as I don't have cell service at my home I usually don't.  If you don't want to use a phone check Amazon, just put activity tracker in the search and a ton of them are available.

I use Stepz on my iphone.  It was a free app I found in the extras folder I think.  It is pretty accurate.

After my falls, I do carry my phone in a pocket all the time.  It is my "help I've fallen and can't get up" device.

I use the app called Argus. It has both the free & paid versions. Among other things, it can also track steps. Accurate enough.
I actually like their Heart Rate monitor.

Thanks to each one of you for taking time to share your thoughts.  Most of the time I carry my phone, but with carrying the Dexcom receiver, the pump, my hearing aid - well......sometimes I just want a break from all that technology.  Guess I should quit complaining....:)

I used an app for sometime but then I deleted it as I get most of my exercise at the gym where I workout.
