I was having tea with a client and asked for some splenda at the Cafe. My client tells me that Honey is not sugar and it is okay for diabetes patient. Is that true? I did not take it.

All I can say, Vahit, is that your client is wrong, and unless he's a diabetic himself, he shouldn't be going around making statements such as this. Actually, even if he's diabetic, he shouldn't - because his information is wrong! You had already asked for Spenda & he should've kept his mouth shut, eh?!

Honey and sugar are both carbohydrates and both are composed of glucose and fructose. The difference is in how the molecules are connected, and I don't know enough to go into that, but suffice to say both have the same effect on our blood sugar.

You were right to pass it by.
