Apple investing in BG Monitoring

Apple is investing time. efforts & money into non-invasive monitoring of Blood Glucose. Soon we could have a watch or the iPhone monitoring BG like a CGM without the need to prick our fingers.

This would be quite a convenient thing and I hope that they have success.  It is, as stated, a very difficult thing to accomplish but the more brilliant minds working on it the better.

Apple is a very smart company and they know where to put their money. No wonder it is the most profitable company in the present day. But this just makes me think, what technology they would be trying to use which would be "non-invasive". I mean if you want to read "blood sugar" you need blood, right ? Or am I missing something ?

I've read about existing technologies to "deduce" blood sugar from saliva & tears. Urine was another body fluid used way back in history but it was based on colour change of strips coated with certain reagents. But that change in colour was discernible only at higher levels of 200+
I think apple watches might work on reading BG from sweat, but that's guest me, guessing.

Interesting. Technology has improved so much over time that I guess there is no need to fret about things being calculated from other things. Let's hope this becomes a reality soon. I for one would surely like to have a look at my 24 hour BG graph just as if I were using a CGM. that would be revealing.

I am wanting to buy Apple watch but maybe I should delay. If the watch will read BG all the time it will be really good for me/all.
