Tinyportal ?

I was updating My Profile as suggested by Sam. In the Profile buttons I noticed a menu button which says "Tinyportal". It has a lot of of submenu functions but none of them seem to work.

What is this all about ? Just asking.

As the name suggests, Tinyportal is a add-on package for SMF that can convert the forum into a portal site (just like a website). It will allow the creation of front pages, where Articles or other stuff can be kept and the forum remains behind the scenes, so to say.

Since we already have a website, the forum is contained in the diabetic.pub/forum folder. So for the time being, we use Tinyportal only for the creation and display of the right panel blocks. There are also many other features like Chat, Shoutbox etc that we don't use. As and when required we can look into those.

Thank you for explaining that. To be honest, I haven't understood much. My work on the computer involves a lot of excel type of sheets, and that is what I am good at, in my own opinion though.

Tinyportal button has been removed from the Profile Menu.

I am feeling a little guilty about this thing. My post was just a comment about what I had observed. It was in no way meant to say that the button was bothering me in any way. But thanks anyway for all that you do behind the scenes.
