Ginger root

I just buy grated ginger root in a jar and keep it in the refrigerator, same as I do minced garlic. They're both available in the produce section at the market.

Does the product you buy in the jar have an 'expiration date' or is that an important feature to look for when buying this product?

I'll have to look next time I get up & go to the kitchen. I know I've kept these for a year & more without having any of it go bad.

Yes, I buy the jarred stuff myself sometimes...for when I'm feeling a bit lazy or in a rush. They do work well. I use Christopher Ranch brand and it does have an expiration date on it.
