Please, what am I doing wrong when I want to send a 'new' message to a forum member and when I click on 'new message' the new window opens with the last message I've sent ready to send again.  I am confused.

Can you erase the name and/or message from that screen and enter a new one?

You're not doing anything wrong.

It's probably our installed module Sisyphus which is acting strange.

Funny thing is, everyone will not be able to replicate the same error. Some modern browsers have the same feature built in, and that could be causing a clash. The simple workaround is to just delete the message that appears on your screen and type a new one. That said, I will look for a solution to the issue, and if none is found, I'll remove the plugin.

Yeah, I meant the same as skb explained. Just erase the old message & recipient, and enter your new message/recipient. DON'T click 'new message' again.

I tried erasing both the name and the message from that screen, and then I clicked on "new message", but still the previous message appeared again.

After erasing the name and the old message, type in your new message, type in the recipient and click Send Message. If you click on New Message the old one will reappear.

Even after doing this, if you are unable to send messages, please let us know.

Skb - Yes, the situation seems to have solved itself since you adjusted whatever you fixed.  I thank you for your efforts.

We have been using an enhancement package for PMs which displayed PMs in a conversation format.

Unfortunately, this package has known conflicts with the latest install of SMF which we need for security updates.

We are therefore reverting to the old system of PMs where Sent and Received messages are handled separately. If you want to see your messages in a conversation style, you can make the setting in Profile / Modify Profile / Personal Messaging. The option is the first in line.

We will continue to look for a solution and bring back the improved PM system shortly. Please bear until then.

Regards.

Thanks Sam. I was not aware of this setting. That should work quite well.
