To me it seems quite natural that things should begin in the liver. That is the Home of all metabolism. I was definitely obese once and would have loved to be aware of this earlier. If tests can be developed to trace this protein then probably people could be forewarned.

Interesting that until I started doing research in diabetes I never realized how important the liver was.  It has many functions that are not really understood by most lay persons.
