I was told by the T-Slim rep only that Medicare wouldn't allow use of the Dexcom integration feature in the new X2, which is what I have. I expect Tandem is hustling to get Medicare approval.

Fasten your seatbelts, I also hear Dexcom is upgrading again soon with a G6 model that's supposedly incredibly accurate and smaller...

I have seen pictures of the new G6 online and it does seem smaller.  The sensor part of it appears different.  From my perspective and my history with Dexcom, each successive generation of their systems has been an improvement over the preceding generation.

The only thing I do not like about the G5 is that the screen on the 'regular' receiver is black and white and harder to see for those of us dealing with cataracts.  I do wish Tandem and Dexcom would get Medicare approval so that we could integrate with our smart phone.  But hey, I am most grateful for help in paying for the sensors since I've spent the last 10 years paying out of pocket.

I like the old screen better as well, but seem to have gotten used to the new one.

Ditto on Medicare!
