I was diagnosed T2 in December of 2014.. so a bit more than a year ago.  I started eating LCHF within 2 weeks and saw my A1c drop from 7.0 to 5.5 and then 5.3.  My most recent A1c was 6.0, which was disappointing, since my FBGs have been in the 90s to low 100s vs. previously in the 110 to 120 range... but I'm not stressing too much about that.  I dropped 45ish pounds on LCHF and have been hovering at my (pudgy but acceptable) high school weight for a year now.

Hello Mary,

I'm sure glad that you could make it here. Let's try and make a big success out of this site.

Hi Mary and welcome aboard....we must be twins....

I have been on LCHF since May 2015.  I went from an A1c of 7.9 to 5.8 in the first 90 days.  Also in the first six months I went from 320lbs. to 270!  All my other health indicators are improved dramatically...including blood pressure at 120/75!   My recent A1c went up to 6.2, not happy but still not terrible compared to where I started....

Now if I can just find the right balance to drop more weight....I need to get down around 210 to be at a healthy level, but I have to do it using LCHF and maintaining a 5.9 A1c or better.....

Still experimenting with that...

Wooo-hoooo, Mary!

Great to see your phosphors.  You've hit a (small) bump, but I'm sure you'll see those great numbers again.

Hi Mary and welcome,

I'm seeing a familiar pattern - nice initial weight loss and then a leveling out.  I have experienced the same, but am going to try to continue to lose weight somehow, as like Timewise and others, I'm still not close to my desired weight of 190 - have about 60 pounds to go.  Congratulations on bringing down your BS numbers and I hope the slight increase is temporary (although sounds like you are still in a much better range than before!).

I go in later this week for my blood tests and then have a follow up with my doctor next week.  I hope my numbers remain good!  My daily readings have been fairly consistent.
