Pen needles

Now I'm officially teed-off. All this time I've gotten along just fine with $10 boxes of pen needles & I have little sharps containers for disposal.

This week doc renewed my prescription & I picked up a new box . . . for $40! I'm now "blessed" with a dispenser/sharps container which I never asked for and don't want. Dunno if this was doc's doing, or the pharmacy, but somebody is making a killing & it isn't consumers.

When I was on MDI (multiple daily injections) the pharmacy sold me a smallish red sharps container and then I had to pay postage to send it to a 'official disposal company' when the box was full.

Now that I have insulin pump supplies to dispose of, they tell me I can throw them into a empty laundry bottle, duct tape the top on, and throw it into the regular trash !  That is enough to make anyone angry.  Sorry you're being ripped off.  Why not call the pharmacy and ask "WHY"?
