What is interesting to me is that age is not taken into consideration.  Using the weight and waist measurement in their calculator I come out with 23 % but then I am one month away from 75 years old.  My scale has a body fat measurement that uses an electrical signal through your feet and I have never really paid a lot of attention to that as I really don't know how accurate it is but today it was 23.5% so at least they seem to agree.
On second thought I guess age is not necessary to determine % of body fat but may be a factor in interpreting what it means as far as health.

Thanks Kathy. I'm on a weight loss challenge with my son and some others. I've lost 5 lbs in the last 9 days. I was therefore interested in checking out body fat if I could. I've used some other calculators in the past, but this one seemed new, so I posted it here. My own assessment was 17%.

Wally, there are some sites with fat calculators that do ask age. I think what you say is perfectly right.

Mine worked out to 20 %. But I do have some weight and fat to lose, so I don't know how true the figure is.
My life is based on a true story.
