Sandwich Rounds

I discovered this recipe on a website and I have made it a number of times.  It is like a flatbread made using almond flour, which is generally more friendly toward people with diabetes.  I made my "rounds" using a muffin top pan and they turned out surprisingly well. For those who might want to know, I counted one round as 10 carbs and it didn't give me but a gentle "spike" in blood sugar. YMMV

Looks good. My only problem is the honey. I may try it with the Natures's Hollow honey from netrition.com

We make our own LC bread very often. I have egg sandwiches for breakfast almost everyday. There is no honey in our bread and additionally we also put some psyllium husk in the mix.

You could also just use some sucralose and maple flavoring for sweetness if wanted and flavor.

I don't think it would be a problem leaving the honey out and that would appeal to me.  I also think I may add some psyllium husk to the mixture.  I will try this.

When I make them I never put sweetness in as I prefer savoury flavor.  I have added garlic powder, rosemary, thyme, or onion powder. Tastes pretty decent, just not like 'real bread'.

Interesting...I'll have to try this as soon as my oven gets fixed. I think the igniter died on it. :P

Thank you for sharing.  I might make some this weekend.
