What thermometer do you use to check your temperature?

I have been using the under tongue battery thermometer. I am wondering if in these times I need to get one of those thermometers that swipe your forehead. What do you all use? Is it better or the same?

We have the same thing. These days the non contact thermometers have been in vogue because of Covid. I once thought of buying it but found it to be too expensive for use maybe once in a year. Fortunately for me, I have had fever only on 2 occasions since switching to LCHF way back in 2010/11. Once I had fever for about 12 hours and once for only about 3 hours.

I use the same as you Barbara.  I was wondering if it was accurate and bought an old fashion mercury thermometer, they don't use mercury anymore but it works the same, and they were both the same.  I don't think the ones you swipe across your forehead are any more accurate, just maybe more convenient.

Thanks! I don't often have fever either (the recent one I had got me thinking) I have for years used this battery/under the tongue thermometer. It seems accurate, so I think I'll just keep using it. I was just curious if anyone used the forehead one and liked it better. I appreciate your replies.
