QuoteIn a potential game changer for patients with type 2 diabetes, a team of researchers at the Diabetes, Obesity, and Metabolism Institute (DOMI) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai has identified a therapeutic target for the preservation and regeneration of beta cells (β cells)—cells in the pancreas that produce and distribute insulin.

I posted the above Article on the "Study" for your analysis and comments. I am amazed that mainstream medical practitioners and hospitals with high reputations such as these can put their pens to statements such as ;

QuoteWhen blood glucose levels rise in the body, such as in response to a high-fat diet, β cells respond by producing and releasing more insulin to bring blood glucose levels under control.

QuoteThe researchers showed that production of a hyperactive isoform of this protein, ChREBPβ, is necessary to produce more β cells in response to an increased demand for insulin in the body due to a high-fat diet or significant glucose exposure.

All I can get from this is that researchers get too involved in their study and make decisions based on the narrow parameters of the research and have no understanding of the real world.  To me this makes no sense at all but it is only a study.

From across all forums how many people do we know who could say "When blood glucose levels rise in the body, such as in response to a high-fat diet". There are millions of people who know that, that is a blatant lie. It is the other way around.
