Hello everyone! I'm Rachel and I have Type 2 diabetes.  I've fallen off the lchf wagon for sometime now but it's time to get back on it.  I hope to get to know you all as time goes on!

Hi Rachel,

Welcome to the Diabetic Pub.

We all fall off the band wagon now & then, but we dust up and get back on it again. I'm sure you will be doing the same.

Glad you joined us,

The beautiful thing about that wagon is ... it always stops to let us climb back aboard.

Welcome to the Diabetic Pub!

Hi Rachel and welcome!  There is plenty of room on the LCHF wagon :)  I sometimes fall off momentarily but then I feel sluggish, try not to look at my BG numbers and am regretful.  Once I get back on track, my mood usually improves, I feel more capable of accomplishing my daily goals and am proud of myself.

Hi Rachel, welcome to the Diabetic Pub. I've fallen off the wagon a time or two, maybe more.  ::)

Hi Rachel, welcome.  Falling off the wagon is easy but getting back on takes effort.  Congratulations on making that effort.

Hi, Rachel!  Welcome to the Pub and we all understand your problem here!  I've been off it sorta for 3 months now and will be climbing back on myself.  I'm hoping it isn't a difficult deal, but I do understand the process.  I'm having mild carb cravings, but they will subside I'm sure.  Here, hold my hand as we climb back on!

Uh, yeah. I get the fall-off, too. There was some bread I made for the family calling my name the other night. And I gave in. Trouble is the higher BGs are not just for a few hours, but I find my numbers are higher for several days even though I got right back on that wagon immediately, especially fasting numbers. Ugh. Punished myself for a piece of bread.

Yep - that's a lot of what keeps me fairly honest - knowing the indiscretion takes about two minutes, but the aftereffects linger for several days, regardless of our haste in returning to the plan. Dang it all anyhow!  :(
