Eyes still stable

Saw my latest optho just now and things are stable. A slight cataract in my bad, left eye but no signs of new retinopathy. Doc said she was incredibly impressed with my vision and stability as nearly every T1D she treats at this stage has awful and deteriorating vision.

History: dx'd with proliferative retinopathy March. 1994. Etimated 4,000 laser blasts. Bleed in August 2006 followed by a retinopathy late October. Additional minor bleeds over the next two years. Nothing since. The left retina is thin and threatens to pull off, but nothing yet.  Might last the race.
