Thank you all for the birthday greetings.  I spent my birthday at the hospital visiting my mother, who was admitted the day before.  I am glad to report that she was discharged home two days ago, but her health is precarious and the doctor told me she probably will not live another year.  And then of course, the elections happened yesterday and I have been reeling ever since.  So I shall be glad to forget all about my birthday this year.

In other news, I did get the results of my latest blood work.  There were only minimal changes, and my BG numbers remain the same as 4 months ago.  So there is that, at least :)
