I'm Ami

Hi everyone,

I'm Ami, which is short for Amita. It's not pronounced like the French ami but rhymes with yummy.
I'm 52 years old and the sweeter half of "skb" here. I'm not diabetic but I am Insulin resistant, so the forum makes for a good reading place for me. We follow the LCHF way of life and I shall be posting some of my recipes to the Diet section, and also hope to borrow some from here.

No, I am not in touch with Jeanne.   

I mostly hang out in FB D groups these days. With pumping and CGM and LADA, sometimes more specialized information is available for me.

But -- I am so glad to see my old friends!

Speaking of real old timers, I've reached out to Abra Bennett whom we met at the old OLD forum where she was known as just 'Abra'. I seem to remember once when she was unfairly banned from that old OLD forum, that foxl & I managed to get her reinstated! Miracles DO happen!  8)

Welcome Ami!  I'm so glad you've decided to join us here in the Pub...you'll add a nice new flavor to it.  I'm thrilled to have you contribute recipes as that is an area where I can always use new thoughts and ideas.  I'd especially love some Indian foods as I know very little of that cuisine.  Just simple, ordinary dishes would be great!  I've only once made curry and it was an American recipe, so I've curious about that. The role of curry in our food seems quite hot at the moment...er, a topic, that is!
