Is the message for T2s from this doctor and his study.
Though this belongs in our Exercise / Workout thread, I posted it here as it is featured in CBS News.

As much walking as I have done in the past I can't really say that I have seen any effect on my blood sugar but I am a firm believer that it is a benefit to my overall well being.  Right now I am still not able to manage my previous 10K steps a day but I am managing around 5K and more importantly I am getting up and walking for at least 250 steps every hour.  Fitbit keeps track and prompts me to get up and move if I haven't made the 250 steps each hour.  Sitting for prolonged periods is supposed to cause more harm and it is so easy to get busy and forget how long you have been sitting on your *.   :)

I'm sure in few days you will be back to your 10k + steps Wally. After what you've been through, that is good progress indeed.
