Vitamin A & Diabetes

A team of researchers in Europe has found that the insulin producing beta Cells have receptors for Vitamin A. On blocking these receptors they found that the insulin producing capacity of these beta cells dropped substantially. It is reasonable to suspect that Vitamin A deficiency could somehow be linked to Diabetes, and be the path for future treatments ;

Do you think it is a good idea to take vitamin A supplements ?

Well, unless there is some concrete proof, I'd wait and watch. Based on these studies and articles we could end up having 100s of supplements. That is not a good idea.
