219 this morning.

Last night before bed I was nervous I'd go low, so added a teaspoon of Ovaltine to my evening tea; obviously a mistake I won't repeat.

Today's weather forecast includes snow to go with our continuing cold which is not a pleasant prospect however I've no compelling reason to go out.

Grammabear, I'm impressed you all are attending an actual concert; I hope you have a wonderful time!

144 this morning.

Our forecast for today is 1 deg F and the wind chill is -17 deg F (-27 deg C).  The wind chill is high because of west winds betweeen 20-35 mph.  It is really cold.

My husband and I plus our eldest son attended the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee Concert yesterday.  It was the first live concert of theirs that I have ever seen.  Such musical talent and a beautiful light show in addition to pyrotechnics made the performance unforgettable.  Our eldest son was our chauffer because he is much better at driving downtown Milwaukee than either of us.

94 this morning.  We are being teased with forecasts of a chance of rain this Wednesday and Thursday and then again next week.  It's only a 10-20% chance so not promising but we remain hopeful.
Barbara, the house we had on the mountain had a driveway that sloped down to the garage so we installed a drain system with a grate going across in front of the door.  It worked great and we never had water going into the garage.  You might look into it.
Tamagno, trial and error I guess.
Grammabear, sounds like a great night.

91 (5.04) this icy rain morning, 96 (5.32) at bedtime last night.

Wally, that is a great idea! I found several great contractors after the tree fell on my house in July. I will look into that this coming Summer.

As the year comes to an end my numbers are better. Since my vacation a few days ago, today was the first day I saw 2 digit number for fasting.

88 last evening and 99 today. Hope I behave later tonight and report good scores for tomorrow.

124 this morning.

Glucose finally returned to normal after a few tries with new insertion sets. The problem has been that at my current 115 lbs. I just really don't have any body fat at all and the tiny cannulas crimp at the point as they come in contact with subcutaneous tissues. Next week I'll be talking with the Tandem rep to see if there's a more reliable solution.

Meanwhile, I've remained assiduous in my mouse-catching campaign and have delivered about ten to their reward so far.

Grammabear, sounds like a terrific evening!

106 this morning.

The cold weather continues here as at present it is -1 deg F (-18 deg C) and the wind speed (which is 15-20 mph) keeps the wind chill at a very uncomfortable level.  Not a good day to be outside.

John - It was a wonderful evening and one that both my husband and I never thought we would enjoy.  Both our sons went together and planned the evening for us.  We are mostly home body people, but this is one time we thoroughly enjoyed getting out of the house.

Our younger son is in the process of buying his first house, so as a funny sort of gift, my hubby bought him a snow shovel and put a nice big red bow on it.  Son lives in Wisconsin where there is an abundance of snow, so I think the shovel will get a lot of use this Winter.  :)

96 this morning.  It seems like DP has been in control of my bg lately.  Example, 85 about 2 hours after dinner last night.  Then it will go down by lunch time.  Not a worry but just interesting.
Some of you are dealing with really low temps but not here.  We are supposed to remain in the high 60's for a while and no chance of rain this week.  In Pasadena for the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl it is supposed to be 76° ( 24.4°C) tomorrow with an overnight low of 51° (10.6°C) so very nice.  I have gone to the parade many years ago when it was quite cold.

2017 thread was closed before I got to post so here is the last post for the year. 93 (5.15) fasting Sunday morning, 92 (5.1) on Saturday night at bedtime.

Only got to 30°F (-1.1°C) today.  It is really icy and slippery outside.

People are setting off fireworks which totally freaks my cat out.
