Freestyle Libre

Anyone using the Freestyle Libre ? I would like to have some feedback please.
Found this article about a noninvasive patch and was wondering, what's new about this. I think that this patch is completely noninvasive while the Libre patch does puncture the skin a bit.

I don't use Libre patch, but I've been seeing similar articles popping up in tech blogs for a variety of patches that function interstitially but non-invasively.

In any event, CGM users (most of using Dexcom as the only other current choice is Medtronics which is unreliable) will before long be able to upgrade to the G6 model that I'm told is the size of a dime and does not require calibration via finger stick upon initiation albeit still requires cannula insertion. The news is that it will have still better accuracy than the current G5 which can be used with some assurance and only requires two finger sticks a day to maintain. The G6 is also likely to integrate with pumps that will, at least in the case of Tandem, for example, be able to make insulin adjustments automatically.

I'll see if I can post one of the other news items I saw about the patches a bit later. It does appear, however, that the very lucrative strip business may soon be going the way of urine dip sticks.

It would be nice and eventually I believe we will see this type of device become the norm.  Whether it is in my lifetime is maybe doubtful but I don't really mind the skin pricks that much.

I just looked at the US price of the product.

Meter cost - $ 70/-
Patch cost - $ 40/- every 10 days

That's pretty steep. I'll stick to my pin pricks for now.
