You know, SKB, I was just diagnosed in 2011, seven years ago and have indeed noticed that I not only am I not using more insulin, but less.

Of course, I weigh nearly 100lbs. less than at DX, among many other factors, but am also finding glucose much easier to manage in the last six months or so.

I'm wondering if there are similar threads of research out there tracking the matter. Given the fact that most T1s experience fairly high glucose levels daily I've always assumed the result would be continued beta cell destruction over time but perhaps this is not the case.
