Testing and Dosing ... Via Skin Patches?

Here are a couple of new skin-patch devices that may come to a pharmacy close to you one day (or not):

If they can work out all the bugs so it is practical and still not expensive it will be a good alternative, but it does not look cool as they suggest!  You have to be able to easily read the numbers and only lasting one day is a pain also....  A Godsend for type 1's I would guess.

I don't think wearers can read the glucose monitor's numbers at all yet, but designers do seem to be working on it.  (The thing would be worse than useless otherwise.)  And yeah, both strips soooo do NOT look cool.

My big concern is with the glucose-control strip.  Often, new control contraptions work "best" if diabetics keep to ADA-recommended high glucose levels.  When wearers dare to reach normal levels, the device may set off an alarm, or refuse to function at all.  (Fortunately, so far such gizmos have not succeeded in getting released.)
