94 this morning.

The high winds that aggravate the California fires would also scare me if I lived in the area.  Where I live we have had high winds for the past two days and while there aren't any fires involved, it knocked out our internet and we're always concerned it could knock out our electrical power if the lines were to go down.  Our temperature never got above 45 yesterday.

I guess it goes to reinforce that no one controls "Mother Nature".

50° was the high yesterday. It is 50° right now, supposed high of 57° but kind of doubt it will get there. Overnight forecast 37°, highest temp in a while.

That's a big difference. Is that always the case or is this a one off diversity ?

Jerri

Hello guys,

I'm using the Tracker here. Thought I might as well share my numbers.
A 142 today.

Tamagno

191 this morning.

Welcome, Jerri! Hope you enjoy it here.

SKB, that disparity between CGM and finger stick is something that generally happens toward the end of sensor life. Like many, I like to stretch sensors as long as I can, but the inserted cannulas have a way of kinking when you do that resulting in false readings. It's just something you learn to watch for.

53° was the high yesterday. It is 52° right now with forecast of 56° for the high...I'd be surprised it it gets there. Overnight prediction 31°.

My covey of pheasants has grown to 16 and a lone mountain quail is traveling with them. Too cute!

129 fasting this morning.

I found an old box of strips expiring 11/2019 and want to use them up before their expiry date. These strips though read higher. For comparison I checked old/new strips for the pre dinner last evening. The readings were 116/104. So there is a 10% difference at the minimum.

Today morning, Ami (non-diabetic and always between 80-90) and I both checked our BG. She showed a 106 compared to my 129. So I am pretty sure to be somewhere between 100-110 and that is good for me.

147 this morning.

Sounds like a fair bit of chilly weather out there; actually, I guess we're not much better as it's just 40 here. Still, it's not freezing.

The talk of "Mother Nature" reminds me of that old TV ad with the line "it's not nice to fool Mother Nature."

Adding to my personal Geek Library are the many books of Kerry Pritchard. They're reminiscent of Douglas Adams ("The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy") as they're exceptionally strange and filled with dry, erudite humor. If you like that sort of thing these are worth a look.

134 this morning.  I guess mixed nuts are going to be heading to my "not so good" list.

I don't know why but my eczema has suddenly decided to flare up and create havoc.  I wish I could control it better.

Looking forward to seeing if cataracts can be improved so I can get caught up on my reading.

92 this morning.  It looks like we will be in the mid 80s until this weekend and then cooler but warming back up next week.  No complaint here as it's still shorts and T-shirt weather.
I was sitting in a wooden crate in my garage working on something and my leg went to sleep.  I figured that when I got up it would go away so didn't worry about it but when I did my leg gave out and I did a face plant on the concrete floor, OUCH !  I thought that I had broken my nose for sure but all I got was a bloody nose and a cut in the bridge from my glasses. Amazingly my glasses didn't get any damage at all and this morning I am just a bit sore but otherwise OK.

Wally - How are you feeling this evening?  It doesn't sound good to do a face plant on concrete or anywhere else for that matter.  Hope today finds you a bit better.

52° was the high yesterday. Looks like 53° is going to be the high for today.Overnight forecast is 38°.

Ouch Wally! So. that was the fall you mentioned in the exercise thread? Hope it doesn't slow you down too much.  Don't be surprised if you end up with a black eye or two from that face plant. I sure did when I did mine!
