120 this morning.

Still warmer than usual around here - all good!

Interestingly, the whole self-driving car affair has died down in tech blogs (as has Bitcoin), but would think they would find their acid test in the Subcontinent as well as some Asian cities. It surprised me to learn that rickshaw drivers (runners?) have a decreased lifespan owing to heart disease. Wonder what the incidence of diabetes is among those guys...

Wow Tamagno, you have posted your morning bg and I haven't gone to bed yet for Feb 6! Life of a night owl here...

That is a really interesting statistic, you would think those rickshaw drivers would have really strong hearts from all the physical exercise. But then factor in air pollution and maybe not so much...as far as diabetes goes...gheese I guess diet is the factor that has to be analyzed.

113 this morning.

We have black ice here and traffic is very slow past our place.  I have two errands to do today, and not looking forward to that.

89 this morning.  We were at 25° at 5:30 AM and just 27° now at 7:30 AM.  Cool but dry so no ice or frost.  We may be looking at a fair chance of rain next week.  I checked and it turns out that naming of winter storms is something started by the Weather Channel back in 2012 but it is not official and meteorologist do not recognize it as only hurricanes are named officially.

120 this blue sky morning, 106 at bedtime last night.

It is nice to see the sun, but it was still really cold this morning. It was 0°F when I got up. Weather app says high will be 22°, but it is only 18° right now so I kind of doubt it.

Those are manual hand rickshaw pullers that you are talking about. They have been abolished now.

The hand pulled rickshaw gave birth to the cycle rickshaw from which came the auto rickshaw.

87 this morning.

My wife likes to stay up late, BigSkyGal, whereas I like getting to bed early and (mostly) rising early. My best hours are before noon.

Still warm today, but back to frigid starting tonight. That black ice is the very worst, Grammabear; drive safe!

161 this morning.

We bought a new 'Keurig' machine and enjoyed the first cup yesterday.  It is so nice to have a hot cup of coffee first thing in the morning.

Our air temperature is just 2 degree F (16.6 deg C) with west winds at 16 mph making windchill something like -18 deg F.  Good day to stay inside IF we didn't have to get groceries today.  Will be glad to get back home.

97 this morning.  Another morning at 25° but no moisture and no ice.  I know it's colder elsewhere but this is cold enough for me.
A one cup coffee maker would be a waste of time here.  I have a 14 cup coffee maker that is programable so it is ready when getting up.  Between my BIL and me we pretty much use it all each morning.
I can see it being nice for someone that is satisfied with just one cup in the morning but it wouldn't work here.

117 this cloudy morning, 116 at bedtime last night.

I still use my old Melita drip system. I bought the one cup filter holder at a thrift shop years ago for $.50. I boil 2 cups of water in the microwave each morning and make 2 cups of coffee which is my limit of caffeine for the day. Works just fine for me.

Same here Barbara regarding my limit of caffeine.  I have to quit at 2 or at the very most 3.  Otherwise I cannot sleep at night plus my kidney tests go wonky.

High this morning.

My old drip coffee maker died a couple of weeks ago in an unrepairable fashion so I just went through buying a new one. The Keurig devices produce coffee too weak, too little and too expensive for me so I bought another drip device that works okay. I always heat my coffee (fresh or not) on the stove. I hear Australian coffee is especially good and would like to try it, but don't think it's exported at all.

Back to cold here at 23 this morning. Well, it won't last forever...

180 this morning after a low of 58 @4:00 a.m.  Diabetes plays some mean tricks.

The weather also plays naughty tricks.  We had 1/2 inch of black ice on Thursday, so haircut appt got cancelled.  Today it is really cold, but going to try to make it to the 'rescheduled appt'.

Also have a refurbished phone to try and setup in place of my old phone.  Should be an interesting day.

101 this morning.  A bit warmer this morning but windy.  No rain for the next few days in the forecast.  Mammoth Mountain Ski Area is reporting snow depth on the upper slopes at 17.5 feet (5.3 meters)  This year California should not have to worry about drought conditions.

119 this partly cloudy morning, 100 at bedtime last night.

My back is sort of trying to hurt, ever since I shoveled the snow it flares now and then. I did get the ergonomic snow shovel when I went out yesterday.

Very cold weather coming overnight and Sunday. It only got to 10°F today and tonight is supposed to be -3°, but with winds so looking at a chill factor down into the minus teens. May have a couple of inches of snow too!
