135 this partly cloudy morning, 119 at bedtime last night. Don't know where that fbg came from, oh well...

It was good to get out to shop and run errands. My bird seed supply was getting pretty low. The last couple of evenings 3-4 deer have been coming by and cleaning up any seed the birds left behind.

It was 40° again today, but this evening it is lightly snowing.

121 this morning.

Very cold here today with temperatures in the low teens. The last two days have been warm enough I didn't start the wood stoves - not so today!

We've dinner guests this evening, but thankfully I've got my cooking all done so I can spend most of my day buried under an electric blanket...

148 this morning and I have no clue why that happened.

If you drink coffee, what is your favourite brand or flavor?  I'm getting tired of the same old thing every morning.

Forecast for here was 3-5 inches of snow and maybe we got 1 inch (so far).  I would not cry if we don't get any more of the white stuff.

103 this morning.  Sunny and mild here and the prediction of snow next Thursday has disappeared and now is just a 10% chance of rain.  Weather predictions for more than a day seem to be pretty chancy.
I don't like flavored coffee at all so just coffee is my choice.

126 this partly cloudy morning, 116 at bedtime last night.

Colder today, 20° was the high. Overnight prediction 5°. Had about an inch of new snow overnight. I'm ready for it to be gone!

I don't like the flavored coffees either. I usually just buy the store brand I shop at 3 different stores so there is some variety. I prefer the darker roasts a habit I got from late DH.

I generally have the store brands from BJs or Costco just for the price. I do add various flavorings to mine and keep an eye out for sales on coffee as I see them and will drink most any except for the canned varieties. I think it's probably worth it to grind your own beans, but it's a step I always skip. The one thing I like about Starbucks coffee is that their ground varieties are considerably finer than most but otherwise I don't think the added cost is justified.

I also like flavored coffee and recently tried Starbucks Graham brand that I bought in the grocery store.  I've never had a coffee from Starbucks store as just looking at their menu kind of confuses me with all their choices.  I like my coffee with cream and a spoon of honey.  I used to dearly love cappuccino until my diabetes diagnosis, and then that all stopped.

I would like the group's opinion about eating breakfast.  I read an article in the Reader's Digest about eating breakfast and the benefits of eating within 90 minutes of waking in the morning.  I have wondered why I haven't been able to loose weight in spite of my efforts.  Maybe it is because I don't pay careful attention to what I eat or when?

84 this morning.  It looks like it will be a bit cooler but pretty dry here for the next few days.  They are reporting snow in Las Vegas this morning and the I-15 closed at State Line between California and Nevada.
I don't know about breakfast Grammabear.  Most days I just have my coffee with HWC.  I use Sweeta and I don't know how you deal with the honey, it is really just sugar.  Timing may be important in eating and losing weight.  I lost about 80 pounds some years ago when I made lunch my big meal of the day and stuck to a light dinner.

112 this cloudy morning, 112 at bedtime last night.

High today was 20°F overnight predicted 2°. About an inch of new snow this morning.

I don't know about breakfast though I do usually eat in that 90 minute window you mentioned. The only rule I follow is I don't eat anything after 7PM. I do occasionally have an adult beverage after 7! 😊

Haven't heard that one about breakfast either, Grammabear. I always have a very small amount of oatmeal in the morning that gets cooked in my coffee, which I find tasty (a little like the tail-end of a bowl of cereal).

I generally find weight gain comes with extra carbs and especially insulin. Of course, the more carbs I eat insulin becomes almost impossible to manage and the higher glucose, the more likely I am to have UTIs. In the end, it's easiest for everything to eat only a few bites at a time which also keeps insulin use low. Not eating after 7pm like BigSkyGal is a good plan also, I'd say.

Thanks to all for your breakfast input.  I think there is maybe some improvements I can make in my meal plans.  I have to do a bit more research.  Yesterday I found a recipe I'd like to try called "bacon egg muffins."

101 this morning.  Now the chance of snow here Thursday is back to 50%.  Weather guys can't make up their minds.  There is definitely going to be storm activity through out the southern California area but whether it gets here will be a wait and see.
Grammabear, I have done that before.  Basically scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese baked in a muffin pan and you can refrigerate them and have a quick good breakfast by just popping one in the microwave.  Thanks for the reminder, I need to do that again.

129 this lightly snowing morning, 113 at bedtime last night.

Light dusting of new snow this morning. It snowed very lightly in the morning, then stopped. It is spitting a little right now. My weather app on my phone didn't show any of the snow...

Your egg and bacon recipe sounds good, Grammabear. I've done a similar affair with shredded Parmesan fried in a non-stick pan with an egg on top that's also pretty good. Lately I've been having just scrambled eggs with cream and onion, plenty of salt and spiced up with hot sauce which I find easy and good.

Our frigid weather continues through until tomorrow afternoon with snow later this afternoon. Another good day to stay buried under my electric blanket!
