129 this morning.

We had a storm last evening and out of the few times when it was quiet, there came a loud BANG overhead.  That was followed by a long rumble of the loudest thunder I've heard in a long while.  The thunder was so loud it literally seemed like it shook the house.  We've had more rain in the last month, enough for the whole of Spring.

92 this morning.  I doubt that we will see any more rain here for some time.  The 10 day shows our highs in the 90s and that is normal for June.  July and August can get into the 100s.  I'm seeing all of the damage done by tornados and severe weather from the mid-west to the East.  I can't help but be thankful for our weather here.
Yeah Tamagno, bungee jumping might not be a good idea right now, or ever.   ???

114 this blue sky morning, 110 at bedtime last night.

It got up to 72° yesterday. The sun did come out some of the day and today looks to be even better.

It looks to me as though there's a direct correlation between amount of insulin used and edema, especially peripherally. I'd noticed considerable swelling until last week I tweaked my diet to permit less insulin usage. The edema is noticeably subsiding. I suppose that's not universally true and can't offer an exact formula, but regular, extra boluses to cover treats or correct excessive highs I believe is the likely culprit.

Tamagno - Your theory of insulin is most interesting.  I also have edema around my ankles and now that you have raised the possibility of 'extra insulin' contributing to that edema - I will make some observations over the next few days to see if it possibly will help my edema.  I also have an appointment with my GP on 4th June so just for discussion, I will ask her to see what she thinks too.

101 this morning.  It looks like our weather here is going to be pretty consistent for the next few days with temps in the high 80s to the 90s.  I just saw on the Weather Channel that there were 500 tornados in 30 days in the plains and the Midwest.  I live in earthquake country and I will take that any day over tornados.

If I had a choice between earthquake or tornadoes, I would choose neither.  Both can be devastating and/or fatal.  52 yrs ago on 04/21/1967 we had a tornado that tore through our town killing 25 high school students (because school was just letting out and this was BEFORE the days of warning systems) including a bus driver who gave his life to protect students on his bus.  I had just had coffee with the bus driver the day before.  Very sobering thought for the families in the path of these tornadoes.  These storms are brutal. :(

An exciting visit, BigSkyGal; have a great time!

Thanks for the link, SKB. Of course, I'm not newly diagnosed, but it's good to see someone's doing research.

102 this morning.

Looks like today will be sunny without rain.  Now if some of the other places in the area could stop having tornadoes, we would be great.

A not totally surprising 131 this beautiful morning, 101 at bedtime last time. The hassles of travel I am sure are the cause of that fasting...it may not improve much until I go home...oh well. 🙂
