Quote from: walkerwally1 on June 04, 2019, 10:38:52 AM96 this morning.  It looked a little threatening in the afternoon and I thought we might see some rain but nothing happened.  Today it is sunny and heating to somewhere in the high 80s.  We may see our first 100 degree day tomorrow.  Humidity is not usually a problem here except when a storm comes up from Mexico and brings us Monsoon like conditions.  That is more common in September.

Wally - the reason you folks didn't get any rain is because it all fell at my house.   :D

107 this mostly clear morning, 102 at bedtime last night.

Beautiful day just a bit of a breeze. High was 78° it is slowly cooling down now.

LOL, Tamagno, I'm still after 15 years here, trying to get my medical record corrected. I had a bone spur removed on my left shoulder way back in CA days. Somehow that got transcribed as a shoulder replacement! Sheesh! I keep telling them but no one fixes it.

We've also been having more wind than usual, Grammabear. I do appreciate you all getting the rain before it heads our way.

Like so many days, I had great plans yesterday, but after lunch found I'd managed to fall asleep - this time on the deck. Didn't wake up until nearly four at which time it was getting chilly and too late for anything but getting dinner ready. Today promises better...

We got more rain again last night.  This rain is making it hard for farmers to get into the fields to plant their crops.

Tamagno - I think a nap on the deck sounds like a fine idea.  Hopefully you don't have too many mosquitoes?

An even 80 this morning.  Today is supposed to be our first day over 100° and I believe it as our overnight low was 75° and now at 7:30 AM it is 84°.  This will be a good day to spend the afternoon inside with the cooler going.
Barbara, I found out haw hard it is to get a medical record corrected a while back.  Our hospital had my medication list wrong and I wanted to get it corrected in case I ended up in the ER and they were going to try and give me the wrong meds.  It was a lengthy process and I finally was able to get it corrected but much harder that necessary.

The link will take you to a story about a ladybug swarm showed up on the weather service radar.  The millions of ladybugs were over an 80 mile area with the densest being about 10 miles across.  That is a lot of ladybugs !

Wow, that is something Wally! I found one lady bug yesterday in my baby spinach as I was washing it. I wash all the bagged produce for just that reason!

Promises to be nice here today so I'm hoping to be productive - certainly plenty needs doing.

Given all the wetlands here, we're surprisingly free from mosquitos. I figure our very active bat population takes care of most of them.

Saw the GP on Tuesday and on Wednesday I woke with yet another UTI (#9) since Feb 2018.  I can't win!

There are always mosquitoes here because of the incessant rain and we have few bats.  I've only seen one recently.  :(

102 this morning.  Well, we did get to the 101° that was predicted.  Today is supposed to be 98° but we had an overnight low of 77° so not sure about that.  Still, for this time of year it is not too bad.

It only got to 60° today, overnight prediction 39°. Looks like rain for the evening.

I had such a good time in CA I just booked another trip for end of August. Alegiant had a fare I couldn't resist! :)

Lingering lower back problems are just causing no end of troubles. Really need to start up some exercises to get that calmed down - ought to be able to sort that out today.

Goodness Tamagno - your fbg was really low this morning.  Take good care of yourself today.  I read in the Pumping Insulin book that when you have a hypo that low, you stand a 48% chance of having another in the next 24-48 hrs.

Busy day ahead for us going to the grocery store and doing errands.  Hope it doesn't rain.

That's an interesting stat from the Walsh book, Grammabear. So far, it hasn't happened and I'm trying to puzzle out just why that should be. I suppose I could read the book...
