What a splendid feast - and what an appropriate 'excuse' for such a decadent celebration! I'm with you in spirit . . . my only spirit of choice being some nice dry sherry . . .  :P

I know the next two years will fly by and you'll be clean!  ~hug~

330 this morning.

Shanny, I should have known you all would have a head start on your firewood. It's been a number of years since I harvested my own as well. I don't mind so much paying for good wood, it's paying for stacking that makes me nuts.

Barb, I guess we're all flying in for this event!

Please be sure your PCP is in attendance so that we can have a cheery, international intervention.

Naturally, I reserve the possibility of employing my estimable, um, charm...

92 (5.1) this morning.  Ummmm, not sure why you asked SKB, I post my FBG every morning.
It did warm up as promised, 96° (35.6°C) yesterday and should stay around the same for the next week and then cooling down, maybe quite a bit.

82 (4.54) this mostly cloudy morning, 78 (4.32) at bedtime last night.

Thanks everyone, it does seem like the time has flown by!  I really enjoyed my dinner last night!  I had never had chanterelle mushrooms before and boy were they yummy!  But at $12.99 a pound, I probably won't buy them all that often!

Not sure what you are asking either skb, do you mean my A1c?  The last one was end of May this year a 4.9%.

SKB, I feel kind of dumb, one track mind, and realize that you weren't referring to blood sugar.  I just has a CBC done and it shows my Hgb at 12 G/Dl which is on the low side according to the Lab which shows 13.0-18.0 as normal.  Haven't seen my doctor since the tests yet but she told me she would contact me if anything looked like a problem.  At this point, even it's on the low side, I assume it isn't a major worry but I will discuss it with my doctor at my next appointment.  Just curious but what prompted you to ask ?

107 this morning thanks to some "extra" red wine last night.
For the hemoglobin, I've started a new independent discussion.

Ahh, skb I just looked up my last test and hemoglobin was 13.8. Report says range is 12 - 16. I guess every lab is different  Echonoing . Wally's  qiestion why did you ask??

244 this morning.

My last a1c was 8.1 which means what everyone normally thinks. It strikes me odd that there are different ranges at different labs insofar as there's been a major push here in the U.S. the last few years to replace our old diagnostic codes with the international standard though perhaps they're unrelated.

When I don't know some particular test or range I'm accustomed to looking it up on the Internet. Translation to a different range might prove tricky.

82 (4.54) this morning.  Temp. stays the same here but is supposed to be cooling down this weekend.  Still, it hasn't been bad at all for August.

Snap Wally!  An 82 (4.54) here too this blue sky morning.  87 (4.82) at bedtime last night.

Temps are rising here, it is supposed to be 91°F today, but my trusty outside thermometer says it is only 80° right now. I doubt the 91 is coming today.

The rains have disappeared now. There's just an occasional shower. The Met department had predicted more rains in August. There is definitely a disconnect between the weather makers & predictors.

Woke up to 113 today.

Sweety

Yes the rains have gone and all sorts of ailments have appeared.
I was at 96 today morning. For the weekend I was able to walk for an hour each day.
Diabetic ?

Tamagno

166 this morning.

A peculiar fever that came on instantly Sunday evening has resolved itself this morning. It came with chills, shaking, confusion and exhaustion. No idea what it was but my infectious disease specialist did labs to recheck the current UTI/prostate infection. Also, coincidentally, my neurologist ordered blood work, so maybe between the two they'll figure it out.

Additionally, a breathing monitor has been ordered to try and find out what's happening when I can't breathe.

My apologies for going on about my seemingly endless health problems. Thank you for your patience!
