95 (5.3) this morning.  Arrived in Laughlin yesterday afternoon and the trip was windy as predicted but I made it without incident.  I'm going to be eating in restaurants all weekend but have done OK in the past and expect to have no real problems.

165 this morning. Maybe should not have eaten the whole rib eye steak last night, or maybe the 1/2 ear of grilled corn? Going to do more reading today on lc/hf.

I have been reading the numbers here & wondering when we will get to see such numbers. But, I must say a big thank you to all the members here. We're beginning to see morning numbers in the 140-170 range, down from 250+ in a short time. And I have a feeling that it is due to the diet changes that we have made. Must somehow try to get rid of the rice that we have, specially at dinner. Is there a better variety that will not make the BG rise so much ?

I have despaired of getting numbers like this. But you must be right about the diet changes, because mine was 194 today and I was shocked. I guess it was the infection and not the pills. I started being careful because the nurse said I had sugar in my urine.

I use finely chopped cauliflower as a rice substitute.  Works great!

221 this morning.

Heavens, I'm such a creature of habit! Still haven't quite worked out the quirks of our new "home" here to follow everyone's adventures...

This year, I'm allowing my trusty propane grill to lay dormant and have reverted to charcoal. I haven't quite managed to use it myself, but my "Big Pharma" friend has and the results are great.

Also discovered the joys of pork rinds for snacking. Can't say they seem to have much flavor, but at least you're snacking on something crunchy and salty with no carbs!

81 (4.5) this morning.  A pleasant surprise considering that I'm eating out all this weekend.  Another very windy day yesterday.  Every time I thought it had died down and went outside to walk it started up again and it was difficult just to try and walk in it.  Hope it calms down today.
@Tamagno,  yep, I like pork rinds for a snack also and yes, they are kind of bland but I dip them in hot sauce to spice them up a bit.

Tamagno, nice to see you again!  There is a thread dedicated to learning how to use this site, maybe that will help you.

185 this morning.  That's pretty bad, right?  :(

101 today morning, and our calculator tells me that is 5.6 mol/l

Kelly, I'd suggest you dump the corn. Reading the sites's articles is a good idea.

213 this morning.

Strangely low humidity here given our wetlands.

Weeds can be pulled and turned upside down where the lay - whatever moisture they had will be drawn out very quickly. Never seen that here before...

My friend reported a 132 today morning. The lowest morning number since diagnosis. I want to say a big thank you to all for your guidance. Spoke to the doc over phone about changing the pills to metphormin as suggested by you. She had a big laugh and asked me not to believe everything on the Internet. We are a bit confused. We have decided to wait for some time & near normal numbers (if) and then take it up with her again.
