No news yet from the PET scan (probably won't know anything until Thursday) but it was easy enough. By the way, if any of you get one, be aware that glucose is a component of the injection. Be sure to check with your doc especially if you use insulin.

The leaves are turning color and falling from the trees.  Guess this truly means the end of summer like weather?

105 (5.82) this morning.  Still getting the effect from the cortisone and I think it will continue for another week or two. 
Expecting it to cool down a bit and a slight chance of rain this weekend but if anything happens it will probably stay north of here.

I snap myself from yesterday! 80 (4.43) this cold clear morning, 85 (4.71) at bedtime last night.

A few snowflakes fell late this morning.  Just a few. Temp tonight listed as high teens to low 20's°F.  Got the pump house all squared away for the cold.  Disturbed a garter snake inside in the process. Ugh!

That's a typical dump rocky. Don't be surprised if it lingers in that range for a couple of days. When liver glycogen gets replenished it takes a few days to bring it down to acceptable levels.

Aj also jumped from 92 to 106 today morning. Rocky, these are just one of things with diabetes that you accept in your stride and move on, try to do your best.

I do take metformin but I have found that the regular zoomba class has dropped my number by at least 5-10 points.

104 (5.76) this morning.  Dentist yesterday for "perio maintenance" which is a bit more detailed than a regular cleaning.  I am on a 4 month schedule because for some reason I build up plaque sooner than most people.  I brush, floss and use Listerene without fail but still need this.  Because of the build up of plaque and gum disease about 10 years ago I had to go through deep cleaning with a specialist and still ended up loosing half of my teeth so I really want to take care of what I have left.  I was foolish and avoided going to the dentist for years figuring that if it didn't hurt it must be OK, WRONG.
