Has anyone ever tried kombucha?  On another diabetes forum, a person said he enjoyed it as an occasional drink.

82 (4.54) this morning.  Storm has passed and it's clear and sunny.  Low temp this morning 26° (13.3°C) and high yesterday 53° (11.7°C) and it looks like it will be in the low 50's for the rest of the week and maybe in the 40's.
@Tamagno, after all of the doctors visits and testing I have had since getting out of the Hospital I agree, hanging around the house can be refreshing.
@Grammabear, I have never tried  kombucha and really don't plan on it.  I know some claims of benefits sound good but there is no real proof that any exist.  There is a chance of some undesirable side effects,apparently most common with homemade  kombucha, so I think care is in order.

Yep - anytime I eat somebody's cooking besides my own, whether it's a restaurant or just other friends/family entertaining, there's some risk. We make the best choices we can from what is offered & hope for the best!

Just tried kombucha for the heck of it, was ok but don't plan on making a habit of it.  The durn stuff is $3.50 a bottle and it is a small bottle.

Is it my computer or possible problems with the server, but it takes forever to connect with the site and also a long time for the post to actually appear on the forum.

89 (4.93) this morning.  Weather wise it looks like it will be clear and cool for the next few days.  We were at 24° (-4.4°C)  this morning and highs in the low 50's each day.  No rain for the near future but don't know what December will bring. 
Another day with nowhere I have to be !  I am going to enjoy it.

I don't know Grammabear, I've seen the Kombucha stuff at the local fancy store. I looked at it all the way down to its price. I wonder how it tastes?

@Tamagno - Kombucha is best described as fermented tea and when my husband took a tiny taste, he described it as tasting like wine.  I've tried two flavors, ginger and peach.  Peach was my favorite of those two.  I have a bottle of bilberry (blueberry) that tooks promising.

74 (4.1) this morning.  A couple of degrees warmer this morning at 27° but still well below freezing.  Latest weather report shows a chance of snow next Tuesday.  It will be interesting to see how that develops. 
Off in a bit for more bloodwork this morning, the phlebotomist and I are on a first name basis now.  Then to my Dentist to finally get my permanent crown that was put off when I had to go to the hospital.

The snow didn't last long yesterday.  Nothing left of it today but a few tiny white spots.

Yesterday at my local grocery store I found duck fat in a jar!  It is made by Epic, the company that makes the meat bars.  I used some to fry my steak and veggies for dinner.  Man was it good!! And the house smelled good too!
