Most of our traffic in this part of the country is dealing with 18 wheeler semi trucks who think they own the road and consistently "blow" stop lights so they don't have to down shift and be delayed in their journey.  Last weekend one such incident happened and the truck overturned on the highway crushing the cab.  Driver made it out alive.  Took the wrecking company 3 hours to 'right' the truck and make it ready for towing.  Truck was fully loaded with ice cream products.

95 (5.26) this morning.  High temp yesterday was 89° (31.7°C), first time for a while under 90°  actually quite comfortable outside and looks like it will continue through the week.  Next week it's going to get hotter again. 
Update on FIL, he had the operation on his hip yesterday afternoon. He is doing great, doctors and nurses say he is doing better than people there half his age.  Nurses from other floors have come up to see him because they have heard how well a 93 year old is doing.  I said he was a tough old bird and he is proving it.

Rain in the night, showers this morning, and I think more showers this afternoon.  Temp is a lovely 62°F (16.66°C).

129 today. Tried some home made cookies using oatmeal. Looks like that is not to my meter's liking.

yesterday was an off day bcoz of the eid festival. had to eat some of the banned stuff. the locals r a little sensitive if we refuse. thought that today morning i would be really high but im pleasantly surprised with the number.

Gosh, G-Bear, an ice cream truck? In the good old days, I could've eaten half of it myself - hope it didn't go to waste!

Still relentlessly hot and humid here.

I've no plans outside of a quick run to pick up dog treats for Sam (Daddy's Little Prince), do some practicing and make a few more of my usual healthcare phone calls.

91 (5.04) this partly cloudy morning, 86 (4.76) at bedtime last night.

The satellite guy called at 7:30 this morning and wanted to know if he could come earlier than noon. Um, no, I was sound asleep when he called! Then I said OK, 10AM and he showed at 11:30! He did do a great job and my picture is the best it has ever been!  He moved the dish to the other side of the house where it will live on a pole pointed between two big trees. He even carried out the old dead heavy crt tv!!

Sadly enough the entire load was wasted as the heat that day was in the upper 90s and humidity was about 80%.
I was wishing they would give a bit of it away before it all melted

118 today morning. The rain's subsided here somewhat.
If an ice cream truck truck turned turtle here, the people (specially the kids) would have had a picnic.
