Finally, rain last night - our first since early June!

It's also raining heavily here. I'm in my village today about 300 kms south of Mumbai. 102 today morning.

101 (5.6) this morning.  Today is expected to be the hottest day so far this year.  We were at 103° ( 39.4°C) yesterday and supposed to be hotter today.  Thankfully I don't have any reason to go to town where it is supposed to be 114° (45.6°C).

Going to try and get a lot of baking/cooking done this weekend - always easier when the fridge and pantry are full of easy LCHF foods - especially since I'm definitely a reluctant (translate: terrible) cook.

If it's like in Missouri, only certain mechanics are approved to work on a/c. Our regular one is certified, but one whose business is closer to us doesn't have the certification.

Not that close Kris. Bear Valley was always a nice break for the time it got really hot in Arnold.  Here, I'd have a pretty long drive to get up in the mountains.  I'm on the valley floor.  My house is surrounded with trees so if I stay inside during the day it is fairly cool.  Then open up in the evening when it cools down.  So far that is working.

I really don't know Shanny.  I've never had to repair it while in MT. Should have done about 3 years ago...

Well, I think the problem is that I pretty much permanently have a UTI at this point. My infectious disease specialist thinks that that along with the regular IVIG are causing high and erratic glucose.

The trick is getting the right amount of insulin on board. My diet remains at >50 grams/carbs per day. Once glucose gets down to 100 I'm likely to keep going down and hypo. Over 180 and it'll keep going up over 300. Between basal and boluses I only use about 30-35 units of insulin/day.

I think maybe I'll do better today. I wonder if a shot of whiskey at night would help?

Anyway, our rain plunked out at probably only about 1/8". Maybe some more over the weekend.

Maybe we ought to rename this board as "Fasting Blood Sugar & Weather" but yes, the rain Gods are benevolent this year. Last year was scary.

Any hard liqour helps me a lot especially when I lose count, but then I'm a T2. Your maths is totally different.

Tamagno, I'm sorry you have such a juggling act!  Fingers crossed you can get it to even out a bit. 

We've come out of our 100's and should be in the high 80's today.
