Le sigh.... 140 this morning.

171 this morning.

A rocky night (apologies, Rocky), but I seem back on track this morning.

Well, SKB, I've been praying for years to be cured of not drinking, but so far to no effect. Lately I find myself looking longingly at the cold beer section of the grocery, but fear I'd likely end up combining it with a boozy orgy including pizza.

Somehow, I seem to do everything to the extreme except moderation...

110 (6.09) this morning.  Well ! I have no idea where that came from.  Checked again and yep, that's what it is.  Two hours after dinner last night it was 98 so I think I have my liver to thank.

83 (4.6) this hot smokey morning, 79 (4.38) at bedtime last night.

No fires that close but there is one in Idaho on the border that when the winds blow my way the smoke comes too.  Yesterday and today are not pleasant. So continue to stay inside.

Sweety

I returned from my village yesterday. My numbers have gone up since, as I had to do a lot of unplanned eating. Ate some traditional foods. It is considered disrespectful to refuse. Tried to, but had to nibble at a few things. So I'm up to 112 today morning  :(
But it was a short welcome break.
Diabetic ?

196 this morning.

Actually, SKB, that's me, not old G.K. If you'd like some fun, Google Chesterton quotes - the guy was a complete maniac and (like me) relentlessly oppositional. Incredibly, he's in the pipeline for sainthood in the Roman Catholic Church - if he's watching from heaven, he's chortling over his gin and tonic...

Sweety, I sure do wish I could've joined you for that food! I think this'll be the week I search out the right ingredients, start roasting spices and make some of my own. Too bad I can't have dairy as I love raita as a cool and refreshing complement to spicy goodies. What do you like to drink?

95 (5.26) this morning.  Our high temp yesterday was 96° (35.6C°) and that was a real break from 102°.  A big difference walking around outside and even a nice breeze from the North that helped even more.  It looks like it will probably stay around the same for at least the next week.

68  this morning.

The BF and his friend are curry fanatics - there's a great place near me and they wanted to go but I told them I couldn't join, just totally unsure about staying away from their lovely naan.  Especially after having a few drinks (I hear you Tamagno!).

Shanny, I finally made your breakfast mix - I have no words - except thank you thank you!

Shanny

You're more than welcome! I need to whomp up a batch of it myself soon!  :P

75 (4.16) this really smokey morning, 76 (4.21) at bedtime last night.

Well I really jinxed myself yesterday by saying the fires weren't close.  Yesterday afternoon a fire roared to life 30 miles south of here.  It grew from 300 acres to 1000 acres in about 4 hours.  Right now it is at 3500 acres and still growing. Now the smoke is horrendous! Homes have been burned, but they don't know how many yet.  No one injured thank goodness.  It is called the Roaring Lion fire as that is the road it started on.  No know cause yet but they don't think it was by nature.

Today is pretty calm, but tomorrow a cold front is supposed to pass through with 25-35 mph winds in the valley and over 50 mph winds on the mountain ridges.  The cold will help but the wind not so much.  End of week dry thunder storms predicted. Yikes.

I don't think it will get this far, but you never know.  In Arnold, CA we used to call this the wait, watch, and worry stage.
