94 (5.21) this morning.  Another doctors appointment this morning.  Yesterday the Dermatologist, two more biopsies.  Today my PCP for a regular follow up. She switched my blood pressure medication and it has definitely made a difference.
Weather forecast looks like it will be getting a bit cooler so it will stay mostly dry and hot, just not quite as hot.   :)

78 (4.32) this breezy smoke free morning, 76 (4.21) at bedtime last night.

Congrats skb!!!

Well, there is good news and bad news.  The good is no more homes have burned and no one injured.  The bad is the fire grew to 7,130 acres overnight, still 0% containment.  It was 4400 at the end of the day yesterday. The good is the fire is moving to the Southeast and I am North of the fire, so it isn't headed my way.  Of course that could change.  They did evacuate more people yesterday. The weather is much cooler today with higher humidity.  That should help.  It is supposed to warm up again by Friday.   :(

Ironically, it snowed last night up near Glacier Natl Park at 8436' (2571.3 meters) elevation. Snow in August, yup, this is Montana!!

The baby is still 2 weeks away. I'll let you know when she is born.
I've touched 120 today. Maybe my sore throat has something to do with it.

222 this morning.

So, my labs came back with indicators for another UTI however my infectious disease specialist thinks the cause is likely a prostrate infection. I'll be taking amoxicillin for the next 8 weeks in hopes of effecting a cure.

Today I've got to try to figure out if I'm taking Social Security the beginning of September or waiting until I turn 66 the end of the year. Likely I already made enough in 2016 that I wouldn't get much anyway and will wait. Of course, calling Social Security is much like calling the IRS or Medicare, vis, you get a different answer every time and in the end, you lose...

129 this morning, not particularly pleased about that.

Tamagno - My husband and I were advised to wait until we turned 66 before starting to draw SS benefits.  Each person is different, but that is the advice we received.

87 (4.71) this morning.  We actually had some sprinkles around the area, just not here, so humidity is pushed up to a whopping 21%.   :D
Sunny and dry for at least the next 10 days.

@Tamagno, when I started taking SS I was still working so I waited until I was 65 + 10 months, full retirement at the time.  The main reason was because as I was still working I made too much and would be penalized but at full retirement it doesn't matter how much you earn there is no penalty.  Other than that I don't know what difference it would matter other than you may get a slight increase over retiring early.  When I was getting ready to consider starting SS you could make an appointment and go in to an office and discuss your options face to face with a real person.  I don't think you can do this now, everything is supposed to be done on line.

76 and so lovely and foggy this morning.

Tamagno, on the surface it's sounding like it would be best to wait until you reach full retirement age, if it's only a matter of a few months and especially if you've already exceeded the earning limits.  But obviously I don't know all the specifics, so sounds like you'll need to do some number crunching.  :)

We had a little different situation when Chuck retired. He was already receiving disability benefits (due to a bad car wreck & a debilitating head injury back in the 80s) which would continue until he hit 65. Since we had that income, he elected to take his SS at age 62 (the earliest age in those days), and bank those three years of benefits for a little buffer zone through the years. The difference in waiting at that time was less than $100 a month IIRC, so it made sense to take it & invest it.

88 (4.88) this blue sky morning, 78 (4.32) at bedtime last night.

My daughter is getting married!!!  ;D She and her daughter proposed to her partner and she said Yes!!  No date yet.  I am so excited for her and I really like her partner!! Guess I'm going to have to do what canadiandude did and get my teeth fixed so I can smile...

Fire didn't grow overnight and is now 7% contained.  There is a tiny bit of smoke in the air but the breezes are pushing most of it south of me.  Still at 14 homes lost and one death with all evacuations still in effect. Cooler weather has helped but it is going to heat up again soon.
