258 this morning.

Kelly, it was likely the ketchup what done you in. I don't know of any carb-free substitutes, but probably someone else does.

Well, I have the neurologist today. My "other" big illness, Stiff Person Syndrome, causes no end of awful troubles and the available treatments are little better.

Well, Wally, I got side tracked looking up the etiology of "what a maroon." Seems to me at some point I'd thought it was an American-Neapolitan corruption of an Italian word meaning jerk, idiot or moron, but now I can't remember and everybody else thinks it's a racial slur. Guess I'll hold off using it until I figure out what Bugs meant. I still think it's more likely the Italian derivative.

101 (5.6) this morning.  It promises to be windy today and it looks like it will deliver.  25-35MPH now and heading to 35-45MPH with gusts of 55-75MPH later today,  Ugh, not my favorite weather.
@Tamagno, I always thought it was just a corruption of the word moron and since that satisfied me I left it at that.   :)

A lovely 88 this morning after taking the cat to the vet for tooth cleaning.  Maybe waking up early has it's advantages, altho' I can't buy into it.  Lost a very special friend I learned and am grappling with the loss.  I also learned that eating badly doesn't always catch up with me...I ate out with a group where I had not too many good choices last night.

(((Pat))) so sorry for your loss.

Thanks Tamagno, you are probably right about the ketchup.  Good thing the bottle was almost empty, I tossed it!

So sorry for your loss, Pat. At this stage of our lives, it does seem we lose more dear ones than we gain - one more facet of the adage that aging is not for sissies.  :'(

Sorry for your loss Pat.

Was 103 this morning. Keto strips indicate I'm getting in my groove.

144 this morning.

It's so terrible to lose a friend, Pat. Adding my prayers...

Well, the neurologist yesterday was interesting. He's a nice boy and far and away the best of the lot I've had. He spends plenty of time with me and keeps working to zero in on problems, not just throw meds at me.

And, of course, my little neurological troubles are rare which keeps him interested and at least affords me the luxury of feeling somewhat, um, special.

Last night, for example, I got out of bed and my muscles spasmed causing me once again to land on that most grand and prominent of my features, my nose. I'm just going to tell people the bruising is on account of plastic surgery...

93 (5.2) this morning. Back to the land of the living  :) I've been battling a nasty bout of pneumonia for the last couple of weeks. I knew something was up when I woke up to a 147 one morning but sure didn't see this coming.

Needless to say, my eating habits have been so bad, I haven't even seen a veggie in weeks  ;D

96 (5.3) this morning.  At least the wind has calmed down although it's cold. 25° this morning but hopefully it will warm up today.
Sorry for your loss Pat.  Unfortunately as we get older it seems to occur more often.
