120 this morning.  Our garden is producing tomatoes by the bucket load.  This year my husband tried a new variety of yellow beefsteak tomatoes.  They are very mild but somewhat juicy.  I will miss fresh garden produce when the white stuff comes in a few months.

107 this morning.

Mmmmm, fresh tomatoes.  As a kid I used to sit out in my grandparents' garden in Mokelumne Hill eating cherry tomatoes right off the vine.  Good memories.

Barb, hope the plumber was able to fix the problem quickly!

79 (4.38) this morning.  Cooler weather now looks like it will be 9-10 days away, of course that is subject to change.

Yes SKB, that fire is scary indeed.  Five years of drought and some high winds make for an extremely dangerous situation.  It just goes too fast to do anything but run for your life.  Another wildfire started to the North of here, not too close, but we are getting smoke from both fires now.  Smoke is not nearly as bad as fire but still not pleasant.

82 (4.54) this mostly clear morning, 75 (4.16) at bedtime last night.

The plumber took all of 15-20 minutes to fix the pipe.  It had a hairline split just below the turnoff valve. And they came at about 3:30 PM so my evening wasn't messed up.

Today I am waiting for the carpet water restoration people to come and look at the carpet to see if I need their services or if I can just let it dry naturally. I stomped on towels a lot last evening trying to get as much water out as I could...

The meter works fine. I was at 125 today  >:(
We got into the festival season starting yesterday. Yesterday was Rakhi, where sisters tie a band to their brothers wrist (much like the friendship band) symbolising their lifetime love & affection and the brother vows to protect & safeguard her for life. Naturally, this is accompanied with eating a few sweets. So that's where the 125 comes from.

Sweety

The rains have stopped and it's infection time. I'm also  ~cof~
So my readings are also north now. 112 today morning.
Diabetic ?

walkerwally1

93 (5.15) this morning.  A bit higher this morning but it's a liver thing I believe.  Total carbs yesterday = 10, total protein = 33.
We are getting smoke from the wildfire North of here which is still out of control but so far no homes have been hit.
Weather stays the same and the promised cooling down keeps getting pushed further into the future.  Guess it has to cool down sometime, just not sure when.

78 (4.32) this mostly clear morning, 76 (4.21) at bedtime last night.

I now have 2 big blowers and a big dehumidifier running in my bathroom.  :(  They will run until Monday. I couldn't sleep in bed so slept on the recliner last night and I am wiped out today. I have piles of clothing on the guest bedroom bed to sort and donate, but they may be moved tonight.  The only problem it is right across the hall from my bedroom and the noise is pretty bad there too.  Out here in the living room, it is not that annoying.

At least there was not that much leakage on/under the carpet.  The carpet people said I was lucky it was so small.

Just can't 'like' your situation, but sure am glad you don't have to replace the carpet.  ~hug~

bigskygal

Me too Shanny!!  But had it come to that I wouldn't have done carpet again, I'd do linoleum or some other hard surface.  I would have done the second one too, the third is tiled.  Never did like carpet in bathrooms.

I'm starting the day with 117. The carby excursion seems to have had a smaller impact this time. I think portion control helped.

86 (4.76) this morning.  Smokey this morning from the Cedar fire North of here.  It is only 5% contained at this time and will probably be burning for some time.
Weather is consistent and the promised cooling doesn't seem to be any time soon but as long as it stays around the 90-91° (32.8°C) it has been I don't mind at all.  Humidity still around 12-15%.
