Good visit with Oncologist, I have to go back in Dec for a lung x-ray to see if there are any changes in the spot in my lung. All is good.

AJ reported a 112 today. Even he is gradually coming down. I checked my BG also today. I was at 89

Going down to town for labs this morning - hoping for an a1c closer to 8.0, but who knows. Haven't had too many bad hypos lately nor too many forays into DKA range, but I'm still too inconsistent for accurate predictions.

My wife had a key lime pie for guests over the weekend, redolent of an excess of powdered sugar and with a beckoning graham cracker crust. Oh, the deliciousness! Enough to envision turning off the insulin pump and going on a diabetic holiday...

My BG was at 92 today morning, but no walks for now. Have to reach work on time.

94 (5.21) this morning.  Well, it is warming back up, 89° (31.7°C) yesterday and should be warmer today.  I could feel the difference walking outside yesterday and tomorrow should be the highest and then cooling back down to more Fall like weather.

199 here this morning.  It would seem that Mother Nature has something against me as I woke with a patch of "shingles" I guess to keep the cellulitis company.

I sure would like some of that key lime pie Tamagno.  I'm with you, turn off the insulin pump and take a diabetic holiday.  And while we're at it, throw in a dip of ice cream along with the pie.

Weather has been cool lately.  They are predicting a frost/freeze for Friday and Saturday morning. Will have to turn on the heater in my pump house soon.

Inspired by my own visions of pie (and ice cream, thank you) I discovered a bottle of Grolsch beer in the basement that I wickedly planned on drinking with lunch.

I carefully chilled my sinful indulgence and eagerly took the first sip only to discover that I hated the taste and so threw it away. What a "revoltin' development"! I used to love Grolsch...

96 (5.32) this morning.  Looks like we will have a significant drop in temperature next Tuesday and Wednesday and then warming back up again.
I can easily pass on deserts nowadays.  I am just too determined to keep my blood sugar within normal levels.  I still look forward to "treats" now and then but I try and make them as low carb as I can.  I do enjoy a light beer now and then and seem to do OK.

I too can tolerate a Michelob Ultra once in a while.  Sigh, not nearly as satisfying as the rich dark beers I used to love.

I received a phone call this afternoon inquiring if I had used my credit card to purchase online "adult entertainment"?  The caller was the credit card fraud department from our banking institute.  When I assured her that indeed "NO", she said "We shall block any further attempts at using your credit card number."  I'm so glad our credit union prevented this attempt on our account.
