I am kind of scratching my head over this one.  One item I do not agree with is "Fats are considered less satiating than carbohydrate and protein".  Changing to a low carb/high fat diet made a significant difference to my feeling of satiety and eliminated the desire to snack between meals.  Also their low carb meals still have 50% carbs.

I really like avocados and I have them from time to time.  They are quite good to my bg and do have a lot of nutrients.  I like avocado in my salad and for lunch sometimes I will put avocado on toasted low carb bread with mayonnaise.  Maybe it is an acquired taste but I have eaten them for years.  The thing around here is that they have been harder to find except for some really small ones.  Growing up there were lots of avocado trees in the neighborhood and they were plentiful.  The trees had so many on them people gave them away.

I have a weird love/hate relationship with avocados. When I like them I really do and eat them fairly often. Then it is like a switch switches off and the thought of them makes me sick to my stomach for months. We ate them often when I was a kid growing up. In fact we sprouted a seed and planted it and it grew. It took 20 years for it to bear fruit and as far as I know it still is. That was in Oakland, CA, maybe the climate was not ideal.
