100 this morning.

Tamagno - I have read on Tandem's facebook group that folks there have had the occasional occlusion repeatedly also.  They called Tandem with their complaints and several people had their pumps replaced.  It might be something you want to consider.

I have have never travelled outside the U.S. except for visiting Canada as a younger person.  I guess now with the Covid devil wrecking havoc worldwide I probably will not get to go anywhere.

A surveillance camera sounds like an interesting situation when it comes to watching wild critters.  Do let us know Tamagno, if you see anything of interest.

76 this morning.  We hit 111° yesterday and even had a brief downpour of rain in the afternoon resulting in higher humidity than normal.  It is what the weather people call "Monsoonal" because it comes from the south near the equator but nothing like the Monsoons seen in India.  There were over 100 lightening strikes in the Southern California and some fires started.  We have a couple of fires that have been burning for a week and several homes destroyed and the heat is making it tough to combat.

We installed an outdoor camera system about a year ago. It has 4 cameras connected to a DVR that records 24 hours and it is connected to the home network and I have the picture from all 4 cameras on my monitor for my PC and I can bring it up on mu iPad or phone so pretty neat.  Not much as far as wildlife here but I can see anyone outside in front of the house or at the front door.
Tamagno, I wasn't driving a truck, it was my Honda Civic so not nearly as bad.

114 this sunny morning. Don't know where that came from, but it is what it is...

80° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 96°/58° I sure hope not!

An outdoor camera sounds interesting for watching wildlife.

Wally, asking for some help here. I'm looking at the  Canon PIXMA MG3620 Wireless All-In-One Color Inkjet Printer with Mobile and Tablet Printing on Amazon. I am used to the Canon from my dead printer. I am having trouble finding generic ink for refills. Can you help? Is this an older model? I am really at a loss.. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I also will be going in for such a setup some time in the near future.

BSG, take a look at the Canon Pixma G6020. This has an ink tank and doesn't need cartridges which brings the printing cost down substantially. And ink refills for these printers are available in small bottles at a very reasonable price. The scanner is an added feature.

Tamagno

113 this morning.

An unusually cool 57 this morning but getting warmer later albeit mostly overcast and rainy.

Wally, you've got the real deal sort of surveillance cameras. Mine are not so sophisticated, but will record on mini-SD cards for later viewing. However, my two cameras cost me less than $100 and are less for serious surveillance and mostly just for my convenience and interest. Recorded videos, though can easily be shared via the app.

Grammabear, that's interesting about the repeated occlusions prompting Tandem to replace the pump. I'm going to make sure I've got them documented.

100 this morning.

Tamagno - Personally I have had two Tandem pumps replaced.  One for failure to accept a charge and the other for repeated occlusions.  My current pump I have had for over four years and hopefully will be going for the Control IQ sometime this Fall.

Weather here is pleasant but heading toward 'uncomfortable at best.'  I have noticed the sun setting a few minutes earlier than usual, so I guess that means the fall/winter season is coming.  :(

It is an older model but only by a couple of years.  It looks good for what you want.  The printer uses one black cartridge and one color cartridge.  They are :
black- PG240 or PG240 XL
color - CL241 or CL241 XL
The XL is a higher capacity cartridge.
They are on Amazon here :

Not the 243,244 cartridges !

87 this morning.  We hit 112° yesterday as predicted and it is supposed to get to 115°
today.  It was 130° in Death Valley yesterday !  That is only about a 1 1/2 hour drive from here.  Because of the tropical moisture coming up here from Mexico there are flash flood warnings for the next 3 days for the desert because of thunder storms.  Kind of normal for here.

I did buy the 3D printer, sorry SKB not on Amazon, and it is supposed to get here tomorrow so it will be fun to get it up and running.  It is shipped as a kit and has to be put together but I think that will be part of the fun.

105 this partly cloudy morning.

85°was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 96°/60°, again I'm hoping not.

Thanks Wally for the link to the ink. Thanks skb for the idea but that one is twice the price of the MG3620, more than I want to spend. I really don't print that much any more so I think the MG3620 will be fine.

83 this morning. I was always aware that running is better for my BG than climbing on the TM. Was happy to see the number compared to the 112 I had yesterday.

That's perfectly fine Wally. I'm thankful to all of you for buying whatever you do from Amazon. This site is self reliant and more, all thanks to you guys. I'm happy that, it happens at no additional cost to you, while at the same time it pays for the site's hosting + domain costs. We need approximately $100/year to cover for both of these and the site's earnings for 2019 were at $214.39. This year has been particularly good from that point of view because the online buying has been higher because of Covid.

Have fun with your printer and share some of your projects with us.

Wally, will be interesting to hear about your adventure with 3D printing.

Another question on the cannon Printer. It says it comes with a set up CD rom. I don't have any devices that play a CD rom any more, Will I still be able to set it up?

Thanks, I am really challenged and since this appears to be an older model maybe 2016/17 I worried about set up.

61 this morning.

Wally, your 3D printer sounds like fun; it'll be interesting to hear how it goes. It'd be especially useful if there's a way to fabricate those small bits that habitually break off of things and are hard to replace.

Got my outdoor camera mounted yesterday and so far it's working great. I'd like a couple more for different parts of the house.
