81 this morning.  Nice yesterday at 72° and should be the same today until around 4:00 PM when the wind is supposed to pick up and is expected to be 30-40 MPH with gusts as high as 70 MPH possible.  The North West is getting a lot of rain and snow but this far south we are only going to get wind and cold. 
I have had plenty of contact with mountain lions, bob cats, bears and coyotes living in the mountains but like SKB said, they always wanted to go their own way as long as left alone.  I have never been worried about coyotes, they always run away, but recently there have been reports of people in some suburban areas in Southern California where coyotes have come into neighborhoods  and been aggressive going after peoples pets and even biting people.

116 this cloudy morning. Woke to a very light dusting of snow.

55° was yesterday's high. The winds blew all day yesterday and they were fierce. They blew over a semi trailer on the highway about a mile north of me. They blew my bbq across my deck. It was howling out there! Wally, I hope your winds don't make it here...had enough for a while. When I got up yesterday, I found that the wind had blown out the pilot light on my stove, fortunately I have a furnace that does just fine, plus it was really warm for this time of year. I got it relit this morning thank goodness.

Forecast for today is high of 33° overnight low of 14°, a big difference from yesterday. I hope the groundhog is right and it will be an early Spring.

139 this morning.

Many fascinating bits can be found in reading unrelated materials. For example, I discovered in reading the diaries of David Livingston that the significant cause of death for lions is excess wear on both teeth and claws making hunting and eating impossible with the result that they starve to death - similar state of affairs for giraffes who become unable to chew vegetation. (Seems like I ought to have something pithy to say here regarding members of the Roman senate who appear to have favored death by self-induced starvation and politicians in general.)

No high winds here just now, but rather a warming trend for a few days.

87 this morning.  Quite windy overnight but worse in some ares of Southern California with trees and power lines down.  Winds have passed here and it is sunny but cooler.
Type 2 since 1993.  Control with LCHF diet.

102 this calm, clear morning.

33° was the high yesterday. When I got up (very late for me even at 10:30) it was 19°. The forecast for today is 31° with overnight low of 14°. Snow in forecast for Wed through Sat. Feb is usually the worst for snow and cold, Jan too but this year Jan was mild.

Off in a bit to do my weekly errands/shopping. I'm out of bid=rd seed so that is a must get item.

159 fasting bg this morning.  I have no clue as to why it spiked so high.

Saw the eye surgeon this afternoon and he said both eyes are healing nicely, however the right eye is still showing signs of "dry eye" syndrome.  So he recommended artificial tears for 4 weeks to see if that helps.  If not, he will go to the next option which is a 'plug' in the tear duct to see if that might improve the vision.

Still in the low 30s this morning but headed to the mid50s this afternoon. Just a few weeks until we go back to normal time!

Grammabear, my sister has had those plugs for years now and beyond having to do some fairly easy maintenance has found them helpful.

117 this mostly clear morning. Couldn't log on, glad to see we are all back online again.

High yesterday was in the high 20's I was out and about so wasn't home to see the what the actual high was. Today's high was 32°, overnight low 24° and it is ever so lightly snowing right now.

87 this morning.  We are at 25° right now at 7:00 AM but it is supposed to get to 52° today and start warming up and be in the 70s this weekend.

Weather here is 25 deg F with a high of 33 deg F.  Not too bad for the beginning of February.

Does diabetes contribute to the dry eye syndrome?  I am just wondering.

118 this lightly snowing morning. It is ever so slightly snowing, few flakes once in a while. Most of what came down overnight has already melted away.

32° was the high yesterday. Forecast for today is 35° with overnight low of 32°. Predicted snowfall of about 1". I ran all my errands on Monday and don't have to go anywhere until the 12th for my ultrasound so it can snow...

No Tamagno yet...hope he is OK.
