112 this mostly sunny morning.

37° was the high yesterday. Light dusting of snow this morning, but most has already melted off. Forecast for today is 35°/10° and no snow. Going out to run my errands in a bit.

Glad to hear that surgery's successfully done, Wally!

Looking pretty cold today, but with luck it'll be sunny. This time of year, there's enough more sun high in the sky that even cold temperatures start feeling warmer.

Grammabear, it's odd you didn't hear an alarm; too often I can't get mine to shut up - wish there was a way to mute the low alarm.

Great news Wally.

Wally - Glad this surgery was a 'smaller' one so healing may go quicker.

Tamagno - I think the pump did give an alarm, but when I go to bed I remove my hearing aid.  Without the aid I am almost deaf, so that is probably why I didn't hear it.  I hate to think about wearing the HA to bed also.  Oh well.

Bigskygal - We also did errands yesterday while it was a decent temperature.  Today it is just 9 deg F and not supposed to get any warmer.  I want Spring to come.

98 this morning.  It looks like now we may get some rain this weekend.  There is an 80 chance of rain Friday night and Saturday morning.  This would be nice.
Thanks all, yes, the surgery went well and I will be glad when it has healed and I can maybe get back to not having to take care of a wound.  Still, glad it is not any worse.

116 this sunny, cold morning. 10° when I got up slowly warming a bit.

It was about 33° yesterday for a high, I was out and about and didn't catch the exact high here. Today's forecast is for a high of 40° and overnight low of 15°. Not sure the 40° is going to happen as it is 28° now at 12:30PM. It is sunny though so that is nice.

193 this morning.

Another cold day with lows in single digits and a high not reaching 30. Thankfully, no snow in the forecast.

Grammabear, there are so many times I wish the CGM could be turned off without wasting the sensor, etc. I keep the receiver, the iPod (for Dexcom share) on a side stand to charge overnight, but I can't reach them from bed. Sounds lazy, but it's not always a simple matter to get out of bed and shut off the alarms. Have to devise something...

I did another 'dumb' trick yesterday.  After my morning shower I put in a fresh infusion set but forgot to connect the tubing to my body.  Hence the insulin was going nowhere but into my jean pocket.  By the time I discover my foo pah, my blood sugar had skyrocketed to over 331.  It took me a good 8 hours to get it back into range again.  I sure hope today is free of dumb acts on my part.

97 this morning.  We do have a good chance of rain tonight and tomorrow morning but probably not a lot.  Anything will be welcome.

111 this sunny morning.

33° ended up being the high yesterday. Today looks to be about the same, forecast high is 40° with overnight low of 21°. No snow in forecast until Sunday and if that doesn't happen, I won't be sad.

Oh dear Grammabear! Hope you are back to normal now.

It's amazing, Grammabear, how many points along the line it's possible to make a mistake installing an infusion set. Always a shock discovering that mistake since we've done it so many times.

Overslept considerably this morning, so I'm plenty behind getting my chores done so I'd best get to it...

101 this morning. Well, we got a bit of a drizzle this morning, not really rain, but the pavement is damp.  This looks like all we will get here but some areas are getting a fair amount of rain and snow in the mountains so it helps.
No chores for me here today but I am going to play with my computer and add a couple of things.

203 this morning.  Blood sugar still not settled down.  I am going to change out everything and start all over again after my shower.  I get tired of all this 'business' of diabetic maintainence.

Did all of you that had cataract surgery have clear vision right away after surgery?  I am concerned because my vision is better than it was but it is blurry.  Eye surgeon said it is because of dry eyes.  I use artificial tears almost on the hour and still the vision is blurry.  I'm wondering if I did the right thing, but it is too late now for regrets.

110 this sunny morning.

38° was high yesterday. Today's forecast 42°/21°. Will be surprised if it hits 42°.

No chores here either other than feeding the birds and stray cat.

I had better vision right after the lens replacement but I have never had to deal with dry eye.
