83 this morning.  It is going to be in the mid 70s again today but a storm system in going to pass through Sunday and some areas will get some rain but we will probably only get wind.
True Tamagno and it's been a long time since I even entered a bar but the scars are not that big and seem to fade over time.  I have had several of these procedures and only a few show any scaring.
Grammabear, I have no problem healing so I don't do anything different.  I am a T2 diabetic but I keep my bg under pretty good control so I believe that helps a lot.

115 this very windy morning. Darned wind blew out the pilot light in my gas fireplace. Will have to wait till it stops to relight it. At least the wind will help dry the road out.

55° was the high yesterday. Today's forecast is 42°/27°. It looks about the same for the next few days.

Wally - Thank you for the update on your wound healing.  I kind of thought you had good control and my family member could improve greatly in that area.  I will encourage her to try harder on her BG control.

That is the secret to quick healing.

62 this morning.

Wound healing can get to be a very big deal. Amazingly, I've known a number of type 2s having to see specialists for it without ever addressing their glucose.

Still having frigid weather here, but not so bad as yesterday. Looks like a bit of a warming trend the next few days - a welcome state of affairs I hope continues rapidly into an early spring.

My relative is currently dealing with a wound that has so far required antibiotic injections plus oral antibiotics.  Suggestions for glucose control have so far gone 'ignored'.  The favorite type restaurants at her house are Taco Bell, Culvers, and McDonald's.  Sigh.....

Weather here is 39 deg F with a high of 55 deg F predicted.  Gorgeous day already and it is only 9 a.m. :)

95 this morning.  We have a storm system passing through today and tomorrow with a slight chance of rain tonight but probably only windy.  Lower temps today and tomorrow but back into the mid 70s Tuesday.  Enjoying the temps but would really like to see some rain.
I turned the calendar today and saw that next weekend daylight savings starts.  Boy, that came quickly !
Grammabear, sorry about your relative but if people won't take their health seriously there isn't much you can do.  It's not always fun but it is also not as bad as some think.  Diet is the major factor in controlling bg and many just are not willing to change.

123 this partly cloudy morning.

40° was the high yesterday. Forecast for today is 42°/26°. And thank goodness it is not windy today!

Also sorry about your relative Grammabear, it is sad that diabetics will not take the care to really control their bg.

Give her the site address and forget it. That's the best you can do. Even if she begins to read from our Front Page Articles, some effect should take place.

48 this morning.

I'm with SKB on this one; people either listen to advice or they don't, but once given your responsibility ends (frequently wish CGM alarms would behave like that).

Cold here this morning, but it's sunny and headed to the mid-50s.

92 this morning.

Last night I had a 'low' of 55 and then a rebound high of 266.  It took forever to get back into range.  Wish it was possible to just take a glucose remedy and get back into range quickly instead of feeling really crummy.

The weather here is 36 deg F and bright and sunny.  Yesterday we hit 60 deg for the first time since last October.  So, maybe Spring is right around the corner.

Spring means mud sometimes and I think of bigskygal and her driveway.  Be safe Barbara.

124 this cloudy morning. Feeling a bit off, hope I am not coming down with something.

It is 42° and windy right now. I hate the wind!! Yesterday's high was 40° today's forecast is 44°/36°.

My actual driveway is fine, I am the only one besides the occasional UPS truck that drives on it. It is the road out to the street that all my neighbors drive on along with the welder's huge delivery trucks and customers that tear up the road and make it a big muddy mess. He does on occasion drag the road to try to smooth it out some but that does nothing for the mud.

78 this morning.

Lots of mud in our area this time of year and for awhile everything looks just plain dirty. The town crews will go out in a month or so with street sweepers to try to reclaim at least some of the sand they spread during snow. Of course, living on a dirt road things mostly depend on weather leaving dirt roads ranging from just fine to impassable. Not really any traffic around here except for residents.

100 this morning.

We have nothing but concrete jungles around here.  What we face when Spring arrives and moisture changes is "pot holes" big time.  We have semi truck traffic, pickup trucks and cars all sharing the same roadways.  Road crews spread salt on the road which makes travel better for winter and makes roads subject to extra wear and tear.

We saw a Robin yesterday which says that Spring is indeed coming.  :)

92 this morning.  WOW ! We are heading to a high of 75° today and 79° Wednesday, Thursday and Friday then dropping about 10° over the weekend with lots of wind.  We may see a bit of rain next week but of course that is too far out to really tell.
When I lived up on the mountain we were on the highway so as long as I could get out of the driveway it wasn't a problem but people that lived up the canyon behind me had to use a dirt road and it sometimes got impossible to use, even with 4 wheel drive.  Rain and snow are not good for dirt roads.
