99 this morning.  We only got up to 75°  yesterday and it is supposed to be 72°  today then the front will be out of here and tomorrow back up to the 80s.  Next week we are supposed to break the 100°  mark so it looks like Summer is on the way.
Because of our weather here we grill outdoors almost all year long so an indoor grill is not needed. 
Grammabear, we haven't been affected too much yet with the meat shortage so not having a problem yet.  We have a freezer being delivered next week and will be able to stock up on a lot of things that we have taken for granted as being available before.

Snap Wally! 99 here this cloudy morning too.

Yesterday's high was only 60° with lots of rain, today's forecast is 62°/48° with thunderstorms in the forecast for the afternoon. That kind of sucks as the pest people are here right now spraying outside. He says if it gets at least 45 minutes to dry it will be OK.

I was looking at the George Foreman grills yesterday and I think I am going to go with the ridged stovetop pan instead. Will be checking them out today.

88 again today morning.

Along with the virus, the eastern part of India is being hit by a Super Cyclone today. I couldn't make it to my work site yesterday. I got a call from a friend forewarning me that the main road was choked because of extensive vehicle checking amid the lockdown. So I aborted my mission. Maybe I'll go today.

BigSkyGal, the only problem with my cast iron stovetop grill is that it's heavy. I think there are lighter ones around, though.

Grammabear, the food sites I look at are absolutely jammed with "vegetarian" dishes for a variety of reasons. An internet search will produce a great many recipes. Be prepared for beans, rice and tofu...

98 here this morning too Tamagno.

We have found some yummy vegetarian black bean Chipotle burgers at Aldis.  They are easy to digest and surprisingly kind to my blood sugars.  I don't have much experience with fixing vegetarian food, but I do like these burgers.

82 this morning.  We had a high of 70 yesterday and it was quite windy but the front is out of here now and today we are supposed to get to 80°  and 88°  tomorrow.  They are still predicting temps over 100°  starting next Tuesday.
SKB, I read about the cyclone and hope it doesn't cause you any problems. 
The plant bases "meat" is becoming popular now but I just can't see myself trying any of it.

108 this rainy morning.

61° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 62°/44° with scattered showers.

Sadly, my county added 7 new cases of the virus yesterday. They call it a cluster infection, I guess that means they got it from each other. Four are in the 10-20 age range, two are in their 60's and one in the 50-60 range. Maybe a family? They don't identify the people. So now I am nervous about going out again. We had been doing so good lately with many days of no new cases now this. On top of that we are moving into phase 2 of reopening on the 1st of June...I personally think it is too fast.

104 this morning.

I saw a study coming out of New York. They did a statistical analysis of the deaths that took place due to Corona. Co-morbidities like hypertension and diabetes were looked at. What most people have missed is >50% cases were Obese.

Yesterday, I'd had enough and went to Walmart. Seemed fine, but I had to cut my shopping short on account of real difficulty breathing with the mask. Causes me to wonder about all the bad guys portrayed in movies wearing masks - I'd think it would put them at a considerable disadvantage.

I'm with you Wally and will pass on the veggie burgers and faux meats of all sorts. Like everything else made to be something else (sugar free jelly and candy, fat free coffee creamer, non-dairy cheese, gluten free bread, etc.) it's never quite the same thing as the real McCoy.

98 this morning.  It's warming up like they said with a high of 79°  yesterday and heading to 87°  today.  The wind is out of here and it looks like it will be sunny and calm for a few days.
Yeah Tamagno, the mask is kind of a pain.  One thing I have a problem with is that it fogs up my glasses when I breathe.  I'm using the customer pickup at Walmart now and so far it has worked out quite well.  Since now they are only allowing a set number of people in the store at a time there is a line outside waiting to get in.  I just drive up and park and they bring my stuff out and put it in my car and I go.  I like it.

I placed an order on Amazon last night, 5 Prime items four of which were food items...delivery date June 1...sheesh! That is just crazy! I think I am going to look at Walmart online.

Well I looked at it and it was really confusing, I wanted to have order delivered to me...pick up would put me in a higher risk area...and I finally just gave up. But did place another Amazon order.  Guess I just have to live with the new delivery  schedule.

If you ever visit Connecticut come to the upper northwest corner - flora is just exploding; spring green is  wonderful.
